We hold a variety of clinics all year round here at Snowball Farm.

If you are interested in improving your riding skills or learning something completely new, in partnership with your horse, you may like to participate in our clinics or training opportunities.  We always have something for everyone whatever your level of skill including pole work clinics, show jumping and TREC as well as our BHS Fellows. You are welcome to join a group or come with a group of friends.

Clinics

Our TREC clinics are run by Liz Beddows of TREC for All.  TREC is a fun, inclusive sport that all types of horse/pony and rider can enjoy. TREC training can add a new dimension to your schooling and it’s fun for both horse and rider. You will learn how to tackle a variety of TREC obstacles and this can benefit you when hacking even if you decide it’s not a long-term sport for you. You can hire one of our riding school horses if you wish.

In our pole work clinics which are run by Susie Pilbeam, you will be working over different arrangements of poles at walk trot and canter. A fantastic workout for your horse and great for your riding focus too.

After our cross country events, we keep the cross country course open for schooling. You can bring your own instructor or have a lesson on an individual basis or book to participate in a group lesson.

Guest Trainers

We have BHS Fellows here on a regular basis offering training to a very high standard. Our long-standing relationships are with Robert Pickles FBHS and Sabrina Jones FBHS and we also have many other well known and respected guest trainers in our events programme.

Robert’s personal equestrian experience covers a wide spectrum of disciplines which gives him tremendous insight into riders’ weaknesses as well as their strengths and enables him to encourage them to ride to the best of their ability.  His deep understanding of horses comes from many years of working with all types, breeds and characters. His aim is to be a positive influence, to coach and encourage riders of all levels and to promote the care and welfare of the horses both in this country and abroad.

Sabrina is also Fellow of The British Horse Society and Chief Assessor for The British Horse Society.  She is an accredited trainer for British Eventing and on the British Dressage Trainers Register as well as a British Dressage Level 3 dressage judge with international competition experience. Sabrina also teaches dressage and jumping training to nervous, novice and experienced riders as well as exam training to all levels.

Dates for all our clinics and training sessions can be found here.
